Are Dr. Brauer and Dr. Miller board certified?
Yes, Dr. Jeremy Brauer and Dr. Kristen Miller are both board certified dermatologists having completed training at the prestigious Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology at NYU Langone Medical Center. Dr. Brauer completed additional fellowship training in Mohs micrographic, laser, and cosmetic surgery.
Who performs the cosmetic and surgical procedures?
Dr. Jeremy Brauer performs all Mohs micrographic surgery at Spectrum Skin and Laser. All other procedures are performed by both Dr. Jeremy Brauer and Dr. Kristen Miller. The entire patient care team is involved in your treatment experience – from initial consultation through follow up visits – however it will be Dr. Jeremy Brauer or Dr. Kristen Miller holding the needle or device when the time comes for your treatment. Do Dr. Brauer and Dr. Miller participate with insurance?
Yes, Dr. Jeremy Brauer and Dr. Kristen Miller participate with most major insurance carriers. Not all conditions and procedures are covered by insurance.
Please contact the Spectrum Skin and Laser office to confirm that Dr. Jeremy Brauer or Dr. Kristen Miller accepts your particular plan, and to see if a referral or prior authorization might be required before scheduling your appointment.
Will I have a scar after my skin cancer surgery?
Many times, the site of the initial biopsy is visible because of a small scar left behind from the minimally invasive procedure. So the true answer is – there likely already is a scar! However, it is very important that you meet with Dr. Brauer for a surgical consultation ahead of your scheduled procedure so that you can review all expectations – including scarring – and receive answers to all of your questions. Additionally, Dr. Brauer is sought after for his interest and expertise in minimally invasive techniques for the improvement in the appearance and texture of scarring. Learn more about Mohs surgery
Is your office handicap accessible?
Yes, the space was designed with all of our patients in mind. Handicap parking spaces and a ramp are located just outside the rear entrance to the building.
An elevator is available to take you to the second floor suite, where a handicap accessible restroom is located in the hallway outside of the space. Should you have any additional questions regarding access and your specific needs please contact us.
