Many times, the site of the initial biopsy is visible because of a small scar left behind from the minimally invasive procedure. So the true answer is – there likely already is a scar!  However, it is very important that you meet with Dr. Brauer for a surgical consultation ahead of your scheduled procedure so that you can review all expectations – including scarring – and receive answers to all of your questions. Additionally, Dr. Brauer is sought after for his interest and expertise in minimally invasive techniques for the improvement in the appearance and texture of scarring. Learn more about Mohs surgery
